3D Printing at the Idea Lab: ID/Transit Pass Holder (LAKESHORE)

In this in-person workshop, attendees will be guided through the basics of 3D printing at Humber's Idea Lab. During the session, participants will 3D print a transit pass/ID holder using an Ultimaker 3D printer. 

This workshop is recommended for beginners who are new to or have never 3D printed before. 

By participating in this workshop, attendees will be able to:  

  • Understand the possibilities and limitations of 3D printing technology 

  • Recognize and apply measures for the safe operation of a 3D Printer 

  • Identify basic concepts involved in preparing a 3D model using slicing software (Cura) 

  • Follow the steps to export and print on an Ultimaker 2+ Connect 3D Printer at the Idea Lab 

Upon completion, participants will be approved to book a 3D printer at the Idea Lab. Alternatively, online training is available at Idea Lab: 3D Printing. 

Please plan to arrive on time as we will begin promptly at 9:30am.
